Naya Kanga Peak (5844m) situated in the southern flank of Langtang and towering over the South of alpine Langtang valley and holy lakes of Gosaikund is one the most interesting climbing peak in Nepal. It is a safe mountain to climb with many possibilities of a classic alpine attempt along one of its awesome ridge systems providing superb climbing and spectacular scenery from the summit with vistas on interesting peaks of Langtang range Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and at Tibets highest and the only one eight thousand meter peak, the mighty Shisapangma (8035m). The diversity of the climb, low objective climbing danger, steep but accessible routes and fantastic trekking routes make Naya Kanga a very interesting and satisfying climbing choice in Nepal.
The standard access through Langtang Valley from Syaphrubesi is the simplest and quickest and as often the case also the best at least from the point of view of Bill Tilman, one of the most renown and celebrated British mountaineers, who described the Langtang Valley as the most beautiful valley in the world. Langtang the second largest national park in Nepal, has healthy rhododendron forests with tremendous amount of fir, blue pine and birch. The diverse wildlife in the park includes leopard, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, rhesus and languor monkeys and the endangered red panda.
